you have to look back before moving further

Yesterday night was a lucky coincidence, a finger of destiny maybe.
I had no intension to go that club ( how many nihgts in a row can I handle partying?..) but.. when passing Depo I saw a couple of Arcade Fire artists and I was just swallowed inside this underground world. Firstly, I had received the newsletter earlier that day saying Bell Orchestre is playing but I hadn't been listening to them a lot ( enough) and really wanted to go home and fall asleep. Secondly, this place. I hadn't been there for a year or so, had the feeling I have grown out of it and drowning in and alone in this basement was definitely not the thing I wanted to do.
But there I was, saying hello to the barman ( he still adds a slice of lemon to my beer without reminding), blinking my eyes very intensly because of the smoke and wondering what the hell am I doing here?
And then they started to play. For the first two songs I wished they had vocals. With the third song I realized there are no lyrics needed, they music itself tells the stories, loads of beautiful, moving stories.
The small room was full of people. I was proud of the audience - really feeling the rhytm, being attentive and warm. I think BO noticed that, why should they come onstage again and again..
Their gig was wonderful and I am thankful for having an opportunity to dive into my memories, sort them and store them away. It is done here. I am leaving.
Big thanks to Kate - this beautful lady joining me.
